At Canadian School, we firmly believe that learning goes far beyond the four walls of a classroom. That is why the month of May became a time for adventure, laughter, and nature with our highly anticipated camps for G4 (May 12th – 13th) and G5 (May 19th – 21st) in the magical town of Tapalpa, Jalisco.

The main goal of these getaways was not only to give our students a space for fun and connection, but also to plant the seeds of autonomy and responsibility. Through every challenge, our students truly lived out the Canadian School Way, proving that respect, environmental awareness, resilience, and teamwork are tools they carry with them wherever they go.

Days of Play, Reflection, and So Much Fun ⛺🎒

Both grades enjoyed an exciting, energy-filled agenda. They participated in organized games that challenged their creativity and encouraged collaboration. And, of course, no camp would be complete without showing off their best dance moves at the traditional camp “disco”!

However, one of the most magical moments of each camp happened as night fell. Gathered around the campfire, they shared deep moments of reflection, where empathy and friendship shone just as bright as the stars over Tapalpa.

G5 and Their Grand Exploration! 🗺️⛰️

For our G5 students, the adventure included an extra touch of exploration. In addition to the campsite activities, they visited the breathtaking valley of “Las Piedrotas”, a natural wonder that left them completely amazed. To top it all off, they enjoyed some time together in downtown Tapalpa, sharing laughs, making memories, and strengthening the bonds that will unite them forever.

Watching Them Grow: Our Greatest Pride 🌟

There is something deeply moving about seeing our kids return from camp. They don’t come back quite the same: they return with suitcases full of muddy clothes, but hearts overflowing with stories, more independent glances, and a renewed sense of confidence.

Watching them grow, conquer fears, and learn to take care of one another fills us with pride. It shows us that they are ready to step out into the world as the responsible, empathetic leaders, committed to their environment, that we dream of them becoming.

Aventuras que dejan huella: así vivimos los campamentos de G4 y G5 en Tapalpa 

En el Canadian School creemos firmemente que el aprendizaje va mucho más allá de las aulas. Por eso, el mes de mayo se vistió de aventura, risas y naturaleza con los esperados campamentos de G4 (del 12 al 13 de mayo) y G5 (del 19 al 21 de mayo) en el mágico pueblo de Tapalpa, Jalisco.

El gran objetivo de estas escapadas no solo fue regalarles un espacio de esparcimiento e integración, sino también sembrar las bases de la autonomía y la responsabilidad. A través de cada reto, nuestros alumnos vivieron en carne propia el Canadian School Way, demostrando que el respeto, el cuidado del entorno, la resiliencia y el verdadero trabajo en equipo son herramientas que se llevan a dondequiera que vayan.

Días de juego, reflexión y mucha diversión ⛺🎒

Ambos grados disfrutaron de una agenda padrísima y llena de energía. Tuvieron juegos organizados que desafiaron su ingenio y los invitaron a colaborar, y por supuesto, no pudo faltar la música y los mejores pasos de baile en la tradicional “disco”.

Pero sin duda, uno de los momentos más mágicos de cada campamento ocurrió al caer la noche: reunidos alrededor de la fogata, compartieron momentos de reflexión profunda, donde la empatía y la amistad brillaron tanto como las estrellas de Tapalpa.

Para nuestros alumnos de G5, la aventura tuvo un toque extra de exploración. Además de las actividades en el campamento, visitaron el impresionante valle de “Las Piedrotas”, un lugar lleno de misterio y naturaleza que los dejó maravillados. Para cerrar con broche de oro, disfrutaron de un paseo por el centro de Tapalpa, compartiendo risas, anécdotas y fortaleciendo esos lazos que los unirán por siempre.

Hay algo profundamente conmovedor en ver regresar a nuestros pequeños después de un campamento. No vuelven siendo exactamente los mismos: regresan con la mochila llena de ropa sucia, pero el corazón repleto de historias, las miradas más independientes y una seguridad renovada en sí mismos.

Verlos crecer, vencer miedos y aprender a cuidarse unos a otros nos llena de orgullo. Nos demuestra que están listos para abrirse al mundo como esos líderes responsables, empáticos y comprometidos con su entorno que tanto soñamos.
