This year marked a historic milestone for the Canadian School as we celebrated the 4th edition of our High School Art Gala. For the first time, the event was officially baptized Maple Glow – a name chosen to represent the enduring spark of creativity within our community and to establish a formal tradition for generations to come.
A Morning of Shared Inspiration
In a bold departure from previous years, Maple Glow moved to a daytime format. Opening the doors at 8:00 AM bathed the exhibition in natural light and, more importantly, opened the experience to the entire campus.
Junior High and High School students had the unique opportunity to walk through the gallery, providing them with a glimpse into their own creative futures. The heart of the event took place in the central patio, where the premier pieces were displayed on professional stands. Visitors weren’t just spectators; they were critics and supporters, casting their votes for their favorite pieces in a spirited “People’s Choice” competition.
Reflecting on the Horizon: Future Me
As the morning progressed, the energy shifted from observation to introspection. At 11:00 AM, the Grade 9 students gathered for the Future Me activity during which students were challenged to look beyond the present and articulate where they see themselves in five years.
This reflection served as a bridge between the art they create today and the leaders, innovators, and creators they will become by 2031.
A Symphony of Color on the Field
The celebration reached its vibrant climax on the soccer field. To honor the success of this 4th edition and the journey of the Grade 9 generation, the air was filled with a spectacular explosion of colored powder. What began as a collective projection into the sky quickly turned into a joyful celebration as students threw powder to one another, quite literally “painting” their peers in the colors of their success.
Maple Glow has now officially taken its place as a cornerstone of our school culture. It is a day where we don’t just look at art – we celebrate the people our students are becoming.

Maple Glow 2026 – La Gala de Arte de High School
Este año marcó un hito histórico para Canadian School al celebrar la 4ª edición de nuestra Gala de Arte de High School. Por primera vez, el evento fue oficialmente bautizado como Maple Glow, un nombre elegido para representar la chispa permanente de creatividad que vive en nuestra comunidad y para establecer una tradición formal que perdure por generaciones.
Una mañana de inspiración compartida
En un cambio audaz respecto a años anteriores, Maple Glow se llevó a cabo en formato diurno. Abrir las puertas a las 8:00 a.m. permitió que la exhibición se llenará de luz natural y, aún más importante, que la experiencia estuviera abierta a todo el campus.
Los estudiantes de Junior High y High School tuvieron la oportunidad única de recorrer la galería, obteniendo una visión de su propio futuro creativo. El corazón del evento se vivió en el patio central, donde las piezas principales fueron exhibidas en soportes profesionales. Los visitantes no fueron solo espectadores, sino también críticos y promotores, participando activamente al votar por sus obras favoritas en la dinámica competencia “People’s Choice”.
Reflexionando hacia el futuro: Future Me
Conforme avanzó la mañana, la energía pasó de la observación a la introspección. A las 11:00 a.m., los estudiantes de Grade 9 participaron en la actividad Future Me, en la cual fueron invitados a mirar más allá del presente y expresar dónde se visualizan en cinco años.
Esta reflexión funcionó como un puente entre el arte que crean hoy y los líderes, innovadores y creadores en los que se convertirán hacia el 2031.
Una sinfonía de color en la cancha
La celebración alcanzó su punto más vibrante en la cancha de fútbol. Para conmemorar el éxito de esta 4ª edición y el recorrido de la generación de Grade 9, el aire se llenó de una espectacular explosión de polvo de colores. Lo que comenzó como una proyección colectiva hacia el cielo se transformó rápidamente en una celebración llena de alegría, donde los estudiantes lanzaban colores entre sí, “pintando” literalmente a sus compañeros con los tonos de su éxito.
Maple Glow ha tomado oficialmente su lugar como un pilar de nuestra cultura escolar. Es un día en el que no solo contemplamos el arte, sino que celebramos a las personas en las que nuestros estudiantes se están convirtiendo.
